Vassilis Tsiafakis

Dr. Vassilis Tsiafakis was born in Alexandroupolis, Evros in 1978. He completed his studies at the Faculty of Electrical & Computer Engineering of NTUA in 2002. He began his doctoral thesis in the design of telecommunication networks at NTUA while he was scientific advisor of the Ministry of Transport and Communications until 2009. Within those years he took part in intergovernmental agreements (MOU and LOU) TV frequency management in telecommunications neighboring states, and participated in the International Conferences of the ITU as a scientific advisor to the MTC and the Greek delegation for analogue and digital TV in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2012. His doctoral thesis on "Development Technologies Design and Implementation of Network Digital Terrestrial Television" was financed by the European Union. He is a senior researcher at the University of Athens - seat Psychiatry - Aiginiteio Hospital and University of Peloponnese, Department of Informatics and Telecommunications. It is a certified member of the ITU for interstate and international coordination and participated in working groups for the writing of the technical annexes of JMD 21161 / GG B / 1680 / 20.08.2008 and the CMD frequency maps 42800 / GG B / 2704/5 -10 to 2012. Since 2009 he is responsible for engineering networks digital television company DIGEA- Digital Provider SA, collaborates with the group of Prof. P. Papadopoulos at Lambda Sat, has many satellite communication projects and cooperates with numerous regional radio and television stations in the Territory.
